What if I don't have an employee's NI Number?

If you do not know an employee’s NINO (National Insurance Number) when you want to submit your return, you should leave the National Insurance (NINO/NI Number) box blank, but ensure you enter the employee’s date of birth and gender in the appropriate boxes - these are mandatory when there is no National Insurance/NI Number.
