Overview
This guide walk you through a new P11D Organiser by way of a step by step walk-through.
Procedure
Step 1
Double Click the Setup.exe that you have downloaded and extracted from the zip file. The link will have been provided as part of your welcome email.
Step 2
On the licence screen, accept the licence agreement
Step 3
Enter a username (can be anything) and your organisation (matching your licence is not necessary).
Step 4
You'll now be presented with a default location on the machine's C: drive, we would recommend hitting the Change... button to select a network drive.
Step 5
Either select a mapped drive, or enter the path to the server as a UNC path (recommended).
Step 6
You will now be back at the installer screen displaying the path you have entered.
Step 7
Clicking Next > will move you on to the screen to start the installation - you'll likely see that the install button has the Admin shield displayed, indicating the Admin rights will be needed.
Step 8
You will now be presented a screen that will allow entry the admin account details.
Step 9
The installer will now install the necessary components for the P11D Organiser to run. You may notice there are two installations that run, one for DLLs and drivers, and for data access components.
Step 10
When complete, the installer will show the completed window - please click Finish.
Step 11
There will now be an icon on the desktop of the PC which is a shortcut to the application that has been installed on the server - please double click that to complete the installation processes. On first run the software will present you with a licence activation screen - enter the serial number and company name for your new customer mail - we suggest copy & paste (CTRL-C and CTRL-V) to ensure these match.
Step 12
The software will then verify where the system is being installed.
Step 13
Click Yes on the dialogue box, and the software will then download the latest version of necessary components from our web site.
Step 14
The P11D Organiser is now installed to run as a shortcut to the server, however we would suggest moving to a client install for faster and more compliant processing. Once at the login screen, press F6 to create a client - this will copy of version of the P11D Organiser to the local PC in a folder named P11D Client, with a subfolder based on your serial number.
When complete, there will be an additional icon on your desktop named P11D Organiser Client - we would suggest ALWAYS using this version, although both should work.
